EC to begin drawing electoral districts

Following rumors that the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) will soon lift its ban on political activities, the Election Commission (EC) has announced it will begin drawing electoral districts, which will be announced in November.

EC Secretary-General Pol Col Jarungvith Phumma said the process is expected to take around 50-60 days, falling within the stipulated 90-day period of the promulgation of the organic law on electing Members of Parliament.
